Near Death Experience with hell

Some people will glibly say that they prefer to go to hell rather than heaven, because that’s where all their friends will be. However, they have no clue! Hell is not only a place, but a continual forever state of torment, suffering and regret; devoid of all that is good, holy and perfect.

Sinful human nature likes to avoid thinking and talking about hell. Could that be, because it is the “perfect” place  for an eternity “day of reckoning?”

This web author has found that when he posts something about “hell,” – that posting does not generate that many page views, as opposed to, (for instance) a huge government scandal. Perhaps, this is because of a few reasons:

1) People (in general) are more drawn to the worst that is “here and now.” Government scandals are in the here and now, and don’t necessarily affect the normal rank-in-file, directly.

2) People (in general) don’t care to think about hell, as they instinctively know that it is the most awful place to be.

3) People (in general) cannot conceive why a loving God would allow anyone to spend an eternity in hell. [1] It is mind boggling to think about an endless hereafter, let alone a place and state of torment 24/7 without end. So, the mind unconsciously and consciously blocks out, not only the comprehension about hell, but the thinking of it, in the first place.

However, the hereafter, for every human soul, is ever present. None of us knows when our time on earth has reached its (end) limit:

I’m sure many will disagree with me, but there is no literal “hell”. There are very few references to it in Scripture (referring to literal garbage dumps at the time in history) plus one parable that can’t be taken literally. I studied this for several years looking into the original languages and we’ve been lied to. This belief originated in paganism and was propagated by the Catholic church. There is also no Pre-trib rapture….there is only the 2nd coming and Matt. 24 has already happened and in recorded history in 70 AD.

    1. Terri –

Apparently, Christ Himself would disagree with you. Here, [following] is what He said:

Matthew 10:28 – “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

  2. Hell is real! And it is FOREVER! You had better be right, because if I and God’s Word are wrong, you won’t like your future of your future at all!

For information, here is a critical analysis about NDE from a Christian point of view:

Thank you for this excellent informational source [link]! It is a superb analysis!

After quickly reading it, I was reminded that Christians should be thoroughly content with the Divine Revelation of Scripture message about the afterlife. All else is subject to speculation and subjective human perspective!

I will add this link at the end of the Moralmatters article.

        My pleasure,
By the way, “Christian visions put into question” is a different article from the NDE one (at this address) :
