PINK NEWS (“Europe’s largest gay news service”), London, Dec. 19, 2007 – MSM “19 times more likely” to catch HIV, study indicates that even in countries with low HIV prevalence in the general population, the epidemic among MSM is raging. — “Researchers at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health in the US have published the results of a new study. It found that in 38 low- and middle-income countries, men who have sex with men have an average 19 times greater chance of being infected with HIV than the general population. In some countries MSM are more than 100 times more likely to be infected, the study found.”
