Note: About the aforementioned case: This is sadly typical. Social agencies devote huge resources to subsidizing and covering for dysfunctional mothers while, in many cases, actively working to keep the fathers away from their children. Few social agencies will even contact the father to consider him for a change of custody when the mother is dysfunctional.
