Franklin Graham: Is His “Campaign for God” Penance For Helping Elect Obama?

Definition of:  “penance” – — See: Acts 26:19-20

This Moralmatters author is elated that Rev. Franklin Graham is initiating his “Campaign For God.” It is laudable that Graham traverse this United States to encourage Christians to seek political office. But, shouldn’t Rev. Graham first extend his public apologies to America for having assisted the criminal ID forgery fraud, crimes against humanity world-wide terrorist and de facto ISIS Commander-In-Chief, aka Obama, in his usurpation of America’s White House?

Perhaps, I am missing something here. If I am, please send Moralmatters evidence that Franklin Graham publicly acknowledged his gullible past, and foolishness, for influencing Americans to vote for one of Satan’s favorite disciples. Shouldn’t admission and confession precede penance?

EXCLUSIVE: Franklin Graham Explains His ‘Campaign for God’ –

Evangelist Franklin Graham is launching a nationwide effort to urge Christians to get out and vote in 2016, but the son of the legendary Billy Graham isn’t backing any one candidate or party, insisting his aim is to launch a “campaign for God.”

In an exclusive interview with NBC News in Des Moines, Iowa on the opening day of his Decision America tour, Graham said his only goal is to get millions of Americans who identify as Christian and didn’t vote in the last election to become engaged in the political process.

“We need to get Christians to run for office. We need Christians to vote for politicians that stand for Biblical principles and Biblical truth,” Graham said………

  1. Douglas says:

Franklin Graham is a very low intelligence person. I’m sure he has never investigated any of the hoaxes and frauds perpetrated by the current Administration.

BTW, ”God” isn’t running for President , so his campaign is a total waste of time. Its best for Franklin to stay home and mind his own business for now. He’s hardly any better than Oprah, who endorsed Obama 100%…twice.

    Franklin Graham….total loser.

    1. Douglas –

Thank you for your continued visitation of Moralmatters and thank you for your comment.

At least Franklin is not spending his time riding motorcycles. I can remember last Century when he was young, perceived as somewhat wild and renegade and not gravitating to his father’s footsteps.

Also, my thoughts go back to Jerry Falwell. I don’t think he would have ever been duped by criminal aka Obama.

      1. Douglas says:

I do have hope for Rev. Graham….he is not totally lost. He must humble himself and seek God.

I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and with Fire, August 25, 1995, at 10:15 PM in a men’s Revival meeting. I was seeking the Spirit for about three months prior. It totally changed my life forever. Its a long story.
I’ve spoken about my experience before groups and churches worldwide, on the radio, Internet sites, newspapers and elsewhere since that time. I give all glory to God …the Universal Father and his Son Jesus of Nazareth who still pours out his Spirit on this planet.

The Holy Spirit, or call it what you will…is yesterday, today and forever.

May Nathan Bickel be blessed and continue his great work.

        1. Douglas –

Thank you for sharing “a” most important “part” of your abundant life!

And thank you for your well-wishes! As far as my Moralmatters “work,” I don’t perceive it as “great.” I am only doing what I believe the good Lord God would have me do. I sometimes reflect upon the words of Christ, intended to all of His disciples:

          Faith and Duty

5 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. 7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? 8 But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.[c] 10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’”

          – Gospel of Luke 17:5-10

  2. James says:

I agree with what Douglas (commenter above) wrote about Franklin Graham. Graham is not much better than Oprah or any of those famous celebrity mouthpieces.

  3. Julie a says:

This post is not a fair depiction. Almost every president has visited Billy Graham and had him pray with them. Obamas first attempt to meet with him, he was not well. Obamas 2nd attempt he was well enough, with Franklins assistance. Because Franklin was so outspoken about homosexuality being a sin, it made the meeting feel a little awkward.

Franklin is only trying to spark a Christian revival in this country. As it has turned it’s back on God. We need Godly people back in office. God will not bless this nation any longer, as He will not be mocked. He is a loving God, but He will not stand for the mockery coming straight from our government. The killing of millions of innocent babies and the demise of the family unit as designed by God, we have turned our backs on Him.

By you judging Franklin Graham, are you no better than the Sadducees and Pharisees who judged Jesus?

    1. “Julie a” –

      Thank you for your comment.

What are “fair depictions?” Moralmatters is not a political correctness website. It does not attempt to cater to the broad spectrum of cultural sentiment.

The Moralmatters article was targeted. It pointed out the weakness of primarily Franklin Graham’s past association with aka Obama and Graham’s present crusade tour, resolve.

The Bible records Lord God’s expectation of Christian leaders. They will be regarded by Him to be judged on a higher standard.

Franklin Graham’s past actions of pandering to criminal ID forgery fraud (aka) Obama were not done in secret. It was a public affair. Moralmatters took the public affair and shed more light upon Graham’s action of him influencing the populace to accept criminal Infanticide supporting aka Obama, as somewhat normal, thus leading that same public, astray. (Good shepherds don’t lead their sheep astray. And, if they have, they will be truly sorry for their misguided actions and make public amends).

You could rightly accuse me of being judgmental if I acted the same as Franklin Graham and then was critical of him. (Hypocritically judging). However, I did not “judge” Franklin Graham in that manner. Mind you: I did not host aka Obama as he and his father did. In a certain sense, Moralmatters is exposing some “darkness.” (Ephesians 5:11)

Please read the following topical message (of mine) to further understand my aforementioned response about “being judgmental” in relation to your comment. It may help you in the future, so that you will not level the same charge against someone of good intent:

Absolutes and Christ’s often misunderstood words of “Judge not…”

  4. Douglas says:

Nathan has every right to point out what he perceives to be an error of anyone including myself or Franklin Graham. This is not ”judging”…its discerning right from wrong.

If a human being is not able to know right from wrong then the court system of this world would collapse in two minutes.
