Supreme Court’s Delusional Gay Marriage Decision: Tyranny Fallout

Political correctness often opposed to US First Amendment rights

The inevitable result of granting special rights and then calling them, “civil” rights, is to fall into the quicksand of political correctness. Political correctness is often opposed to US First Amendment rights, and ends up discriminating against those who simply disagree with other people’s opinions and lifestyles. I believe the “marriage equality” decision will have a chilling, diminishing – and possibly devastating – effect upon the Christian, Bible-teaching churches and pastors in the United States.

This new SCOTUS mandate will now empower homosexuals (“gays”) to sue churches for the “right” to be married.

Christian, Bible-believing churches and pastors will be forced to make very difficult decisions as a consequence of this empowerment of an already-militant minority in society.

There are at least four problems that will arise as a consequence of granting this minority special rights and privileges – nation-wide – under the U.S. Constitution:

  • Christian churches and pastors will be forced, under threats of all kinds, to perform gay marriages
  • Christian churches and pastors will face expensive lawsuits from aggrieved homosexuals who will demand to be married because they have “protected” status, now
  • Christian churches and pastors will likely remove their institutions from 501(c)(3) (IRS tax-exempt) status and be forced to accept less tithes and offerings from congregants who will give less after the tax privileges of giving are no longer available to them
  • Christian churches and pastors will simply close their doors permanently rather than to compromise their faith and the integrity of their service to the LORD

Christian churches will be faced with the same-type problem of which Christian businesses have been faced. Rabid LGBT activists and their supporters will find some weak-kneed judges and then bring lawsuits against certain churches, using the false guise that their civil rights have been somehow, violated. Their demanding cry to Christian pastors will be: “Officiate My Damned Wedding!” – Pic source – Found on the web.

Part of the problem with the newly empowered gay population will be that they will harass, threaten and sue Christian churches and pastors in retaliation for the long history of perceived persecution they suffered as a consequence of God’s Word.  Another part of the problem will be that parents will demand that the pastors of their congregations perform gay “marriage” rites for their children. Their bargaining chip will be the threat, that the entire family and circle of friends will leave the church – and take their tithes and offerings with them.

Pastor James David Manning discussed the same-sex marriage phenomenon in detail on August 20, 2013.  He outlined the coming dilemma perfectly, and it may well be the undoing of many so-called Christian churches and denominations as time passes:

The coming crisis of conscience for Christian churches and pastors will boil down the faithfulness of the pastors and their congregants.  All men and women of faith will be called upon to either follow the LORD (Acts 5:29) or follow the money (Matthew 6:24).

Tough decisions will have to be made, and pastors must be willing to lose congregants, lose tithes, lose tax exemptions, and possibly even lose the ministry itself, rather than to turn their backs on the LORD and on His Word.

The next result will be what the Control System has planned all along: the diminishing and possibly even the disintegration of the Christian Church. This is another means by which the Control System will succeed in its plans to divide and conquer the nation.  The “gays” have been raised up as “useful idiots” in an effort to divide the society and to promote infighting among all of us, so as to distract us from the evil the Control System has been planning and implementing throughout all of this time.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I believe we will see a true separation as to which churches and pastors are faithful and which are not.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:20).

The Apostle Paul outlined what would come to his protégé, Timothy (2 Timothy 4: 1-5).

1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. – 2 Timothy 4: 1-5 – NKJV

The civil government should never have allowed the church to be involved in completing the Marriage License document. All Unions should be registered with the County and state and that’s the end of it.

If couples want a church wedding fine….but DO NOT involve the State in your church wedding ceremony.

Its a big mistake to involve ministers in signing a Marriage Certificate that is later filed with the State and County.

I’m a minister of a church and I can clearly see its a big mistake to have ministers sign Marriage Certificates..

There must be separation of church and state.

I think this article and its graphics sum it up: the “marriage equality” decision will have a chilling effect on the Christian churches.

Today I read that Chief Justice John Roberts warned, in his “dissenting” opinion in this case, that churches could lose tax-exempt status with the IRS if they refuse to recognize the Supreme Court’s ruling that legalized gay marriage in all 50 states.

That would not be different from what Adolf Hitler demanded of the churches in Nazi Germany: Either a pastor submitted to all the rules of the Nazi Beast System (and converted his church into a Reichskirche), or he faced DIRE CONSEQUENCES.

    1. Steve –

Perhaps, some churches will wise-up and remove themselves from their security blanket 501 (c)(3) (IRS tax-exempt) status. Pastor Chuck Baldwin has been encouraging Christian churches to do this very thing:

      >>>>>>>>> As soon as someone goes on the public dole, for the most part, the government has successfully and thoroughly purchased their SILENCE.

In the second place, the vast majority of pastors and churches have voluntarily placed themselves directly under the supervision and authority of the federal government by accepting the 501c3 non-profit organization status from the Internal Revenue Service. And by so doing, the vast majority of pastors and churches will consciously do or say NOTHING that could jeopardize that non-profit tax status. And, once again, the federal government has successfully and thoroughly purchased their SILENCE.

Add to the above the perks and privileges that go along with being “Caesar’s friend.” I know a little bit about what I’m talking about here.

Back in “the day” when I was a young up and rising star among the Moral Majority, Christian Coalition, and Republican Party, I experienced my share of what it feels like to sit at the king’s table. I had personal audiences with untold congressmen and senators. I couldn’t count the number of governor’s mansions I was invited to. And I was twice invited to the White House: once to dine with Vice President George H.W. Bush, and once to meet President Ronald Reagan. Believe me, I know what it feels like to be a prophet who has been in the king’s inner chamber.

Of course, the other problem we have in our pulpits today is the demonic interpretation associated with Romans 13. Every Sunday all across America, the king’s prophets (puppets would be a better word) are emphatically telling their congregations to obey the civil government “no-matter-what.” Every Sunday, there are hundreds of pastors regurgitating this demonic doctrine to their people. >>>>>>>>>>>>

      1. Douglas says:

Ordained ministers have brought this debacle on themselves by allowing their offices to be used by civil authorities to perform marriages by proxy for the State. This is a big mistake that most religions cannot see or understand.

If a couple wants a ceremonial marriage in a church before God, that’s fine with me. But that same minister of the church should not be instrumental by signing a State document called a ”Marriage License”.

We should apply a strict separation of Church and State as the Constitution requires.

If a couple wants to be ”married”, all they need to do is appear before a County clerk, sign their documents and pay the fee…they’re married. That’s all that’s really needed. Any subsequent religious ceremony is nice but irrelevant.

  3. Jim says:

Please outline why a marriage license is required in the first place–what benefits?

No penalty for cohabitation anymore–I am not condoning such, but I do not believe that a marriage before God ALONE is not cohabitation. And does not the marriage license actually give the state jurisdiction over any children that are born?

Of course, when our child was born abroad, they wanted to see my marriage license before we could exit the country with our child–glad to be able to produce it at the time…

    1. Douglas says:

I suppose the State needs to know who’s married for tax, property and inheritance purposes. Plus many other reasons that don’t come to mind at this moment.

Why the clergy often have their names attached to marriage licenses is frankly ridiculous. Being an ordained minister I’ve married several couples and signed my name and the name of the church to their State marriage certificate, which I thought at the time was rather irrational and witless..
