Truth Was Never Killed: Bill O’Reilly Has It Wrong About Jesus

Please note: Don’t overlook the 4 minute video at the end to the following article:

This Good Friday, transitioning to Easter Sunday, marks the centuries old celebration of Christ’s historical crucifixion and resurrection from the dead.

Contrary to the one sanctimonious political correctness FOX Network news personality (Bill O’Reilly) the historical Jesus Christ was never “killed.” He, was (as the Apostle’s Creed) correctly states, “suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried…….on the third day He arose from the dead.”

Truth, its essence and its personality, cannot be killed. It cannot be extinguished. Nor can truth be destroyed or demolished. Truth, as all-encompassed in the person of the historical Creator / Almighty God, Jesus Christ, never was eliminated.

The Gospel of John presents a very unique historical document which chronicles much more of the saying of Christ than anyone of the other 3 Christian Gospel accounts. It literary prowess records the great “I am” statements of Christ, among which highlight the “I am the Truth and the Life” and “I am the Resurrection and the Life” declarations of Christ.

The first Good Friday had Christ arraigned before the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate who asked the Christ, “What is truth?” Here, following, is the documented conversation:

>>>>>>>> Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”

Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all. <<<<<<<<<< – Gospel of John 18:33-38 – NKJV

Christ is the Truth. He proclaimed the truth. He continues to proclaim the truth from His eternal Divine Revelation – The Holy Scriptures. He is heavenly rather than earthy. The spiritual as opposed to the irreverent. The holy instead of the depraved. Real versus counterfeit. Pure and not corrupt. Eternal, not temporal. His Holy Spirit is every ready to convict of  “sin, righteousness and judgment,” and draw the sinner to the Savior.

Another Scripture proclaims of Christ:

“……..He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence……. – Colossians 1:13-18 – NKJV

Please note the late Albert Barne’s thoughts of Christ before Pontius Pilate:

To this end … – Compare Joh_3:11-12, etc. Jesus does not here affirm that he was born to reign, or that this was the design of his coming; but it was to bear witness to and to exhibit the truth. By this he showed what was the nature of his kingdom. It was not to assert power; not to collect armies; not to subdue nations in battle. It was simply to present truth to men, and to exercise dominion only by the truth.

Hence, the only power put forth in restraining the wicked, in convincing the sinner, in converting the heart, in guiding and leading his people, and in sanctifying them, is that which is produced by applying truth to the mind. Men are not forced or compelled to be Christians. They are made to see that they are stoners, that God is merciful, that they need a Redeemer, and that the Lord Jesus is fitted to their case, and yield themselves then wholly to his reign. This is all the power ever used in the kingdom of Christ, and no men in his church have a right to use any other.

Alas! how little have persecutors remembered this! And how often, under the pretence of great regard for the kingdom of Jesus, have bigots attempted by force and flames to make all men think as they do! We see here the importance which Jesus attached to truth. It was his sole business in coming into the world. He had no other end than to establish it. We therefore should value it, and seek for it as for hid treasures, Pro_23:23. Every one … – See Joh_8:47.

Editor’s note:

This Moralmatters author has little respect for the Fox Network, Bill O’Reilly mainstream media whore and aka Obama enabler. He continues to refuse to report reality. He ingratiates himself with the political correctness false reality of the current culture. He will not report reality as it pertains to government contrived propaganda and violence events. He persists with his reporting omission of the criminal White House ID (forgery) fraud of aka Obama. This author is also turned-off by O’Reilly’s snippy, arrogant and sanctimonious attitude as he unmercifully interrupts his targeted guests.
