Tonight on Facebook, this Moralmatters author responded to the atrocious cheap hit mainstream media tabloid write-up about a recent Governor Rick Perry statement. Gov. Perry made reference to poor people and stated that the Bible evidences “that poverty is inevitable” – salon.com/
Pastor emeritus Nathan Bickel’s response to the Mainstream Media salon.com propaganda piece:
“Another mainstream tabloid cheap hit media story:
Gov. Perry is spot on! Who can gainsay the words of Christ? Matthew 26:6-13
And, it makes no difference that Salon has a bad pic of Perry with his dark horned rimmed eye-glasses. He stands correct about his statement regarding the poor.
Texas is the 2nd largest state by geographical standards. Its population is diverse. It is not government’s responsibility to elevate the poor to a certain Utopian standard. Try to argue with Christ someday when you are roasting in hereafter hell for not believing His divine revelation documented words!”
It is common knowledge that those who author mainstream media possess radical anti-Scriptural agendas. Mainstream media is rife with unbelieving souls who despise the Divine Revelation of Scripture. Hence, you will most always witness these unbelieving media souls, either misusing, misquoting or taking Scripture out of context. Their corrupted concept regard for Scripture is one of abject relativism. They are individuals whose priceless souls are adrift upon the wicked propaganda they rampantly peddle. They are those whose lives eschew absolutes and who only care to read and write about the culture’s latest hearsay.
The salon.com hit piece against Governor Perry has its author ignoring Perry’s truthful answer. Mainstream media often only desire to interview, obtain an answer and then twist its propaganda knife to fit its radical agenda.
This same irreverent media will only use Divine Scripture for its malevolent purposes. In this case, the author commits the dishonest (fallacy of logic) vis-à-vis his “extension of the argument.” He takes what Governor Perry says and “runs” with it. The reality of the poor being poor and always being a part of the global human community is replaced by the author’s (unrealistic) Utopian leftist mantra dream; that being, economic equality. Apparently, the tabloid Mainstream media author (Luke Brinker) hasn’t come to the historical realization that economic equality is only an imaginative fancy of the “Great Society” dreamers.
