“……So let’s say your neighbor doesn’t like you very much. Maybe you’re a little too Conservative for his tastes. You and he have a disagreement over that. He can actually petition the court saying that you’re a threat and you lose your Second Amendment right. Actually in this case you lose both your First and your Second Amendment right. Don’t think so? Read the bill.

All that’s needed is a written or oral statement by the filer that you’re a threat. For example: “This guy likes guns. I feel threatened.” Case closed. You lose your gun right. But wait. There’s more.

AB-1014 also authorizes authorities to get a firearm seizure warrant, which allows law enforcement to search you and your property to confiscate your legally owned firearms.

Now remember, you haven’t even been before a judge yet. Some guy complain; a judge gave him a restraining order while because he doesn’t want to be the guy who says “No,” and someone got shot. And now, you’ve lost your First Amendment right to free speech, your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, but you’ve also lost your Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure.

Then, and only then, do you get your day in court. You have to hire an attorney, which you know isn’t cheap and prove that you’re not a threat because as far as the court is concerned in this case, you are guilty until proven innocent…….”  — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0CNqhXwCvE&list=UUqRScKbESN0th-TdlmaQ6oQ

  1. “Snitch” laws were used extensively by Hitler and Stalin to control and terrorize their citizens.

The proposed AB-1014 is a SNITCH LAW.

    • Douglas –

And I will add that it is a very devilish law! I’m convinced that hell will be filled with politicians and their accomplices who snatch basic natural law freedoms from people.

  2. I can picture this law being abused liberally. Anyone in a dispute with his neighbor could call the authorities and have legally registered and owned weapons seized from the disagreeable neighbor. It’s easy to do when the local law enforcement agencies are on board with this plan.

I have called the local police on a neighbor who was a drunk driver. As a consequence, the police were on the lookout for his car. Police officers caught the neighbor driving drunk on a few occasions, issued tickets, and eventually, the man’s license to drive was revoked as a consequence of those tickets.

“See something, say something” really works, and it can really help law enforcement agencies to confiscate our weapons.
