We Have a Phone and Pen Too, Mr. President
On October 1, 2013, the Obamacare website launched. The designers said it was not ready, the security firm said it was not safe and the program to pay the premiums had not even been written. Regardless, it was opened for business and immediately crashed, repeatedly. For those unlucky enough to get on the site, it was required that you submit all your personal information before you could even browse for insurance policies. As of last week, professional hackers said it would take them approximately 5 minutes to get access to the personal information of millions of people. For this government run gem, the American taxpayers paid $700 million and counting, mainly to a Canadian based firm with a poor reputation and ties to the White House. U.S. technology companies said they could have constructed a working website for approximately $10 million dollars.
As big a debacle as the Obamacare website is, the health care program is worse. It is not about dealing with inequities in the health care system. That could have been done without a complete upheaval of everyone’s coverage. This is just the latest in our government’s massive power grab.
This administration runs on lies, cronyism, cover-ups, defrauding the American taxpayers, disregarding the Constitution and bypassing Congress. They ran guns to Mexico, where people were killed. They neglected security in Benghazi, where people were killed. They use the IRS as a tool against anyone who opposes Obama’s policies. They listen to phone calls, read texts and track the whereabouts of law abiding citizens and they are never held accountable, thanks to the liberal media and the blind loyalty of Democrats.
Looking at recent poll numbers gives me hope that the tide is turning. The dissatisfaction with Obama, his administration and his policies continue to increase as more people are effected.
Mr. Obama said he has a phone and a pen. Well, each of us has a phone and a pen. Let’s voice our disapproval with calls and letters and then lets take that pen to the polls in November and take the Senate out of the dirty hands of Harry Reid. Let’s use that pen to retake our country!
