Pastor Chuck Baldwin’s Facebook comment (4/21/13):

<<<<<<< A reader recently accused me of “bashing” my fellow pastors and said that what I am writing sounds “hateful.”

I realize that not everyone who reads my columns and posts is truly familiar with me. I have been in the Gospel ministry my entire adult life. If one includes my ministerial training days, that means for over four decades. I am not an outsider; I am not a novice. I’ve been around pastors all of my life. I know how they think, what they read, how they spend their “off” days, and what makes them tick.

I believe I am more than qualified to address the “pastor problem” that we have today. I know that there are many great patriot-pastors out there; but I also know that overall, they are far and few between. The vast majority of today’s pastors are unwilling to even look at the responsibility they have to resist evil government. They are as guilty as the pastors in Germany who did nothing to resist, or who even helped facilitate, Hitler’s rise to power. And I will NOT give them a pass!

Pastors are God’s watchmen and the nation’s spiritual shepherds. If they choose to ignore their responsibility to warn the people of the attacking wolves that are devouring our liberties, they are the enemies of freedom AND SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED AS SUCH. At the same time, I am trying to educate and inspire Christian men and women in the pews to stop assisting these spineless pastors. If the pulpit will not lead, the pew must! Nothing I say is motivated by hate; everything I say is motivated by LOVE–especially MY LOVE FOR LIBERTY! >>>>>>>> – chuckbaldwinlive.com/

Pic of President Friedrich Veit of the Bavaria Evangelical-Lutheran Church, who resigned because of the influence of Christian pastors, sympathetic to Hitler's Nazi Germany. Approximately 800 pastors out of 15,000 in Nazi Germany stood as faithful pastors. How many Christian pastors are doing that today, standing against the corrupted Obama government and functioning as Christ's disciples?

Excerpt:

<<<<< Forgive me, but when I hear these pastors and Christian leaders bewail the conditions of America, I get kind of sick. If they would stop supporting this out-of-control federal leviathan that is swallowing our liberties, if they would stop preaching their pansy, don’t-make-anybody-mad sermonettes, if they would stop sucking up to these corrupt politicians, most of the problems they complain about would not exist. >>>>>> – chuckbaldwinlive.com/

  1. Pastor Chuck Baldwin is standing up during a period when this nation’s clergy is bowing at the altar of political correctness. Pastor Baldwin (correctly) sees that this is the same pattern that developed in Germany after Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933.

Pastor Baldwin’s point is that either a pastor is a righteous man who remains true to the Word of God, or he is just a figurehead who delivers politically-expedient sermons every Sunday.

  2. It is precisely because of the spineless pastors you mentioned that the “Church”is in the mess that it’s in. We have a whole bunch of politically correct and 501c3 church leaders and it is killing America.

  3. Dear Sir, I have the impression you have a strange view of what happened in Western Europe (our countries) in the 1930-1940ies. I wonder what the American president could make an enemies of freedom? He want to take care of the freedom more than the previous presidents did.

Your idea about pastors is also very weird and bringing them all on the same line. I see many American pastors who are much, much different than me.

I would call the corrupted pastors those who are against abortion, against foreigners, against other religions than their own evangelist denomination or against others than Christians and those who call for the right to bear arms or even to allow fighting or war taking place. tat are people who go against the teachings of peace of Christ Jesus.

The ones who denied paedophile acts in their ranks and protect their own befriended pastors instead of bringing out the truth and protect the victims, that are the dangerous people and the ones who bring the Church to shame.

  4. I couldn’t agree more with this piece. I, too, am an activist and have been for over 2 decades. America’s pastors are lazy and indifferent to abortion and other social ills. Yes! They are indifferent! The most used line when confronted with their laziness is “I’ll pray about it.” This is code for blaming their indifference on God. “God has something else for me to do, sorry I can’t be involved,” they claim! But God heard that lie and will hold them accountable for speaking a lie in His Name.

They bought the lie that they do not have a mandate from Scripture to draw away those being led to slaughter. Sing a little louder as the trains full of dying people go by! This nation ONCE was a great Nation BECAUSE its God was the Creator of the Universe. No longer is it great because those who have the Light decided to shut their 1000# church doors on the outside world, and all of its ills, but now the outside world is deeply entrenched in the church. Oh well, it’s just a social club now, has no effect, has no power, and the real Body of Messiah will continue to fight without the church! Today’s post modern, seeker sensitive, pop-culture mega-churches are worthless and is where the conned go to make pastors rich!
