Modern day coliseum participants get their monies worth at the Daytona auto race

It is part and parcel of (morbid) sinful human nature to desire the witness of human tragedy. Ask yourself: "Have I ever hurried to the sight of a fire? Have I ever rubber-necked (gone out of my way) to witness an auto accident while driving by the scene of devastation and perhaps, death?"

What the Daytona Nationwide crash looked like from the grandstands  – sports.yahoo.com/blogs/

From the yahoo.com sport’s article:

<<<<<<< Here’s what the crash involving Kyle Larson and 11 other Nationwide drivers looked like from the grandstands.

Tyler Andersen, a resident of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., was at the Drive for COPD 300 on Saturday and was filming the final lap when Kyle Larson’s car got turned into the catchfence just in front of him and debris from his car flew into the grandstands.

You can see the panic in the stands in the crash’s aftermath and the tire that flew over the catchfence landed just feet from Anderson.

At least 28 fans were injured in the crash, two critically, which also damaged the catchfence. Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood said that the fence would be repaired in time for Sunday’s Daytona 500. >>>>>>> – sports.yahoo.com/blogs/

This is a savage sport like most others. Most athletes are drug users, steroid users, wife cheaters, and generally unmoral and unchristian. They are worse than the rappers and rock n rollers who don’t pretend to be clean. Worse yet are the fans who pay their meager savings to watch these devilish disciples.

    1. Sherman –

Thank you for your candid comment. I was unaware that this sport possessed the same magnitude of vagaries as others you mentioned.

I know some good people who love to watch auto races. But, I would not doubt that some of these fans are as you describe……….

Fans? The fans are merely unthinking rubes and social Christians. They worship Earnhardt when they should only worship our Lord and Savior. The drivers and crews are a sordid lot best fit for Hell.

    1. Sherman –

I don’t doubt what you say about fans worshiping Earnhardt, and, for that matter, other famous auto racers. But, I think that your comment about the drivers and crews is a bit on the judgmental edge. Surely you don’t wish eternal damnation for them?

      1. Sherman Burrows says:

Yes, I wish them eternal damnation and so should you. They worship a false idol, they celebrate devilry on the Sabbath, they break the first commandment and they are guilty of at least 5 deadly sins: lust, greed, gluttony, sloth and pride. If you truly believe in God’s word join me in calling for their fiery punishment.

        1. Sherman –

No true Christian desires eternal damnation for anyone – not even his enemies. Stick around and continue to read this website; and especially make it a point to read my other website of http://www.thechristianmessage.org

I think that you need to get your head screwed on tightly about those with whom you may disagree. Either you are talking out of your head, or, you are knowingly attempting to offer ridiculous and crazy comments……….
