At the year’s end, it is customary of media to review the past year’s events and memorialize those influential and significant persons, who have passed on [died]. Rarely will there be some candid assessments of some of those, deceased. Instead, the liberal media will continue with their dishonest and irreverent historical revisionism.

This posting of www.moralmatters.org will likely be the last for this 2012 year. This blog author would like to do something different. And, he shall. He will provide a particular moral, ethical and rational assessment of a former US politician who has since passed on.

The late Senator Teddy Kennedy, was, perhaps one the most infamous of US politicians. He introduced into the modern political era, the malevolent political “art” of personal character assassination. He played dirty politics and dishonored the profession. [Note the original definition of “politics” towards the end of this article] Edward Kennedy portrayed himself as a respectable Catholic Christian, but was a vile person. He was a champion of liberals and leftists. His political career was marked by an abuse of politics and rabid support for
genocide.

Excerpt from “The Christian Message” website:

“What did Senator Kennedy have in common with Barack Obama and the late George Tiller:?

>>>>>>> …….. Senator Kennedy involved himself in the abortion (mill) business. At one time during his political career, he was prolife.  It is an utter shame that Teddy Kennedy did not remain prolife, as his sister, Eunice [Kennedy] Shriver who was not only a leader in the prolife movement, but “influential in creating the first International Special Olympics for athletes with intellectual disabilities.” [Conservapedia.com]

Unfortunately and most tragically, Senator Kennedy soon left his prolife moorings and became an avid supporter of unrestricted abortion in the name of the Supreme Court contrived [supposed “Right to privacy”] He, along with Obama, involved himself on one end of the abortion multi-million dollar assembly line industry –- through the legislative process. They were [and Obama, still is] responsible, along with other politicians, providing, human bodies — innocent preborn babies for their destructive and murderous [Nazi like] disposal, at the bloody hands of abortionists, such as the late abortionist, George Tiller. During Kennedy’s tenure in the United States Senate, millions of preborn babies met their horrific end.

Why wasn't Ted Kennedy charged with murder or vehicular manslaughter? Was it the Kennedy name; senatorial privilege and / or Kennedy money? Why do some good die young and some evil die much later? Psalm 73 gives us a clue.

Two of the above (aforementioned persons) are no longer with us. Senator Kennedy recently passed away, a victim of cancer, while Abortionist George Tiller met his sudden end, slain by a gunman. But President Obama remains, functioning as “Butcher-in-Chief,” promulgating political policy for the continued genocide of preborn babies and consequently their posterity (succeeding generations):

“One Quarter of Black Population Missing from Abortion Genocide Says Dr. Alveda King” — …. Dr. Alveda King, the niece of legendary human rights campaigner, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., told a meeting of Priests for Life, that the killing of a quarter of the black population of the US has not been from the lynch mobs of her childhood days, but from abortionists, “who plant their killing centers in minority neighborhoods and prey upon women who think they have no hope. “The great irony,” she said, “is that abortion has done what the Klan only dreamed of.” …..” – lifesitenews.com

“What Does God See and Hear?” — “…….Millions of babies are aborted every day. It is this culture’s way of eradicating the image of the Triune God in which the human race was created. Genesis 1:26 Doctors, nurses, and professionals may refer to a newly formed baby as ……… <<<<<<<<<

Original Definition of “Politics” and Moralmatters.org initial mini commentary of it:

>>>>>> …… Politics – If any one group should be involved in “politics,” it should be Christians, as good Christian morals elevate society and culture, rather than assisting in its demise.

Following is Webster’s original definition of “Politics:”

POL’ITICS, n. The science of government; that part of ethics which consists in the regulation and government of a nation or state, for the preservation of its safety, peace and prosperity; comprehending the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals. Politics, as a science or an art, is a subject of vast extent and importance….. <<<<<<<<

RIP, Robert Bork – hotair.com/

>>>>>> Perhaps no jurist has had as much impact in our lifetimes as Robert Bork without sitting on the Supreme Court — and perhaps no jurist has been as unfairly maligned. After a life of public service, the US Senate under the direction of Ted Kennedy conducted a character assassination on Bork that denied him a seat on the high court and turned his surname into a synonym for smear campaigns. Bork’s reputation outshone those of his critics in the end, however, and Bork remained influential on a new generation of legal thought…… <<<<<<< – hotair.com/

Missing From Ted Kennedy Tribute: Mary Jo Kopechne – breitbart.com/

Excerpt:

KennedyChappaquiddick

What prompted the newspaper to make Senator Edward Kennedy one of the victims in this deadly crash? Why was Kennedy in a “daze?” Was he too drunk enough to pull Mary Jo to safety, but only himself? There are more questions than honest answers. One thing we do know; Edward Kennedy was a half ways decent swimmer. Why didn’t he rescue the girl before exiting the auto before it finally became submerged?

>>>>>>> For Democrats, the end always justifies the means, and rhetoric will always trump reason. The two great orators of the Democratic party of the last 40 years, Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy, were two of the most immoral men who ever graced public life. Clinton will speak tonight, and as always, his horrific history of rape and abuse of women will be ignored so he can pose as a person who really cares.

Just ask Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, and Kathleen Willie, among others too numerous to name, how much he cares.

But the worst example of all is the Democrats lionizing of Ted Kennedy. In a seven minute video at the DNC, there were plenty of quotes from Kennedy and his admirers that should be seen through the agonized eyes of a young girl, slowly asphyxiating in a car submerged in water, a young woman vainly trying to open the door so she could breathe just one more time, a young woman betrayed by the scion of the country’s most powerful family who left her to die.

  1. When I posted this blog entry on my Facebook account there were a couple women close to my age who (well) remembered the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. Here, were the two comments from those women:

    * “He left a young girl to die. Did nothing to help her and ran like a coward. I remember it well!!”

    * “I remember it like it was yesterday – AND she was pregnant!”

I then looked up Ted Kennedy under the (liberal bent) Wikipedia. Here’s all it said about Mary Jo Kopechne’s death:

“……The controversial Chappaquiddick incident on July 18, 1969, resulted in the death of his automobile passenger Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident and the incident significantly damaged his chances of ever becoming President of the United States…..”

Wikipedia’s statement of the “controversial Chappaquiddick incident” reminds me of the crazy current US Department of Transportation radio commercial about buzzed (drunk) driving. The emphasis of the commercial, is on the person who is carelessly drunk; not on those whose lives are negatively affected or lost, because of the reckless drunken behavior on the part of the one inebriated.

Senator Kennedy died over two years ago. The cliche “beating a dead horse” comes to mind.

    1. degitt –

If you had read the very beginning of the article; I expressed my concern over liberal media historical revisionism. Helping to set the record straight about Senator Edward Kennedy is not “beating a dead horse.” That, is only a rationalization of which liberal like-minded people will utilize to help cover for those with whom they have applauded and worshiped.

Also, the Scriptures encourage those disciples of Christ to “expose the deeds of darkness.” Without, consulting the Biblical reference (because of time constraints); I think it is found in Ephesians 5:11 or 5:18. Christians, in our American society, with our 1st Amendment rights, have better opportunities to “expose the deeds of darkness.” I like to call it: “Setting the record straight.”

Thank you for visiting http://www.moralmatters.org and for your comment. I encourage you to visit often – and, to also visit http://www.thechristianmessage.org site. I’m convinced that with mindsets such as yours; there are always opportunities to begin to start thinking outside the political correctness and multicultural box.

    How about Matthew 7.1???

    1. degitt –

Apparently, you have not read my one topical message on my http://www.thechristianmessage.org website. I will copy a small portion of it for you below:

Absolutes and Christ’s often misunderstood words of “Judge not…..”

      >>>>>>>>>> ……….Recently a particular online forum participant apparently did not agree with my comment. So, (as some do on the forum) this person chose to reprimand me by reminding me of Christ’s words about “Judging.” It is a very familiar ploy by non-thinking people, when confronted with certain realities, to ignore those realities and invoke Christ’s words, regarding, making judgment.

      Matthew, Chapter 7:1f – especially, Verse, 1

One of the most misunderstood Scriptures is Christ’s words about “judging.” [Matthew 7:1f] If there is one Scripture which unbelievers will know – it is this one. Both non-Christians and Christians, alike, are often of the opinion that a person should not be outspoken and critical of others. When confronted with their sinful lifestyles, non-Christians (and Christians) will utter their misinterpretation of Christ’s words, as a rationalizing defense mechanism. Their mistake is that they fail to understand the very first verse of Matthew 7:1f in light of the entire chapter.

Christ was teaching about hypocritically “judging” others. For instance, a person should not criticize his neighbor’s dog for nuisance barking when he himself is not careful to control his own dog from disturbing the neighborhood’s peace and quiet.

When looking at any Scripture, it is important to allow Scripture to interpret itself and to understand particular Scriptures within their framed context. Christ cautioned about (hypocritical) judging, and then also warned his disciples that they could recognize false prophets by their “fruits.” [Matthew 7:13-20] In essence, Christ called upon His disciples to be “fruit inspectors,” –- to judge others by their very words and lifestyles. Christ’s disciples, are, expected to be (ethically) discriminating – rebuking (reproving) the “deeds of darkness.” Ephesians 5:11

When Cal Thomas, a syndicated Christian columnist wrote a commentary on Barack Obama, — basically, calling him a non-Christian,…………. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<

degitt – I hope that the aforementioned answers your question. If everyone would mistakenly and indiscriminately invoke the often misunderstood “Judge not” words of Christ, there would be no constructive criticism of not only things said; but, things done. And, we must also be aware that the United States is a Constitutional Republic with First Amendment free speech rights. When something is already “out and in the open” – public; then, that or those issues are not only “free” to comment on; but, also appropriate in nature, to zero a literary spotlight, upon………..
