Can’t Fix Stupid – Foolish Preacher Didn’t Practice his Bible

Can’t Fix Stupid Snake Handler

Snake-handling preacher dies from rattlesnake bite in West Virginia – Comments:

Psalm 91:11-12 says:

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.”  – Psalm 91:11-12

The good Lord says:  “… keep thee in all thy ways.” God never promised to be with us when we go out of our way to willfully put ourselves in harm’s way, by “tempting fate.” And, even when the man was bitten, it was reported that he didn’t seek medical help until 8 and 1/2 hours later.

The newspiece further stated:

“Wolford had turned 44 on Saturday. He had seen his father die of a snakebite when he was teenager, the Daily Mail reported.”

Timothy Adams on Facebook, comments on the above snakehandling news piece:

The book, “Fire on Sand Mountain” is an excellent account of these folks and the problems in their communities. While the Apostles were promised such protection, and Paul was indeed bitten on the island of Melitus, suffering no harm, God doesn’t say he’ll protect you if you deliberately provoke the situation. Add to this the fact that there is no biblical authority for “adding too” the worship of God with rituals such as drinking poison or [handling] snakes. How did anyone ever get the idea God would condone snakes in the church? Truly, “mankind invents many devices.” – Facebook – Timothy Adams
